  • Chenille wire, 6 mm, 30 cm diameter
  • 10 – 12 paper tassels with a wire inlay, natural, 15 cm long each
  • 2 brocade braids, 25 mm wide, 25 cm long
  • Golden crinkled cardboard, 8 x 30 cm
  • 2 sample clips
  • White tassel, 4 mm wide, 1m long
  • 2 wooden globes with hole, 20 mm diameter
  • 2 wooden globes, 25 mm diameter
  • 2 white satin ribbons, 3 mm wide, 35 cm long
  • Metal bells, 11 mm diameter
  • 10 golden sequined stars
  • White sewing thread
  • Security can opener, grater, fore borer
  • Scissors, handicraft glue

  1. Open the can, cleaning and coating it in white, two or three times, depending on the intended paint coverage. Color the big wooden globe with the nude color. Paint the face with the decopainter and color it Carmen red. Spray the can and wooden globe with the clear varnish, letting it dry.
  2. Drill holes into the can with the fore borer for the wings as shown in the model as well as marking two holes each for the dangling arms and legs. Bore two holes as well into the lid of the can, one cm apart from one another.
  3. Glue the brocade braids to the top and bottom part of the edge of the can. Afterwards, bend the chenille wire in the middle, placing and twisting it into the prepared holes in the lid. Glue the half eyes.
  4. Twist the paper tassels around the brush handle, creating curls. Fasten them with glue in the top hole of the wooden globe. Divide the white tassel into two pieces each for the arms (20 cm each) and legs (25 cm each). Knot one wooden pearl each to the brocade tassels, putting them into the prepared holes and tying them tightly from the inside. Make little ribbons out of the short satin pieces with the sewing thread and glue them onto the round wooden feet.
  5. String the metal bells onto the longer piece of string and hang them around the angel. The wings are fastened via the sample clips to the can. Place the sequined stars on the ends of the wire of the paper tassel curls for extra decoration. Also glue two more sequined stars to the feet and put one more on the lid of the can.
