“Wired” Angels

Materials:

  • Flower wire
  • Air-drying modeling clay
  • Yellow acrylic color
  • Pliers, scissors
  • Windmill foil
  • Marabou-Window Fun & Fancy Color in contour-lead metallic, contour- yellow, yellow, nude, Bernstein, white, glitter-silver
  1. Cut the wire pieces into the desired length, bending the lower ends up 3-4 cm. Then bend the upper ends into a 90 degree angle, creating little ripples in the end parts.
  2. For each figure, make a star (diameter 5 cm, 3 cm high) out of the modeling clay. Stick the lower wire ends into the soft mass and let harden. Pull the wires out again and paint the stars with the acrylic color.
  3. Copy the contours of the angel onto the windmill foil and let dry.
  4. Paint the areas with lots of color. Let the motives rest until they have completely dried and then cut them out very precisely.
  5. Heat the rippled wire ends over the flame of a candle, pressing them with the lower part into the foil. The wire will melt a bit into it. Clasp the wire and figures together to cool down.
  6. Seal the adhesive areas with crystal clear and finish by sticking the angels into the stars.
